Herb Wesson for Supervisor
Lighting the Way to a Greater LA

I’m running for County Supervisor to build a greater Los Angeles for our children and grandchildren – a Los Angeles where housing is affordable, our youth have the tools they need to succeed and we are able to spend more time with our families and less time sitting in traffic. Together, we can tackle the biggest issues facing our community today. I will take the lessons I’ve learned as Speaker of the State Assembly and President of the Los Angeles City Council to make Los Angeles an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

Jobs & The Economy

“Los Angeles is on the right track, but there is still much we can do to help small businesses create jobs, expand job training programs and bring high wage jobs back to our community.”

“Herb Wesson’s record of delivering real results that improve the lives of our diverse citizens is simply unmatched. He is a passionate and progressive leader standing up for our most vulnerable—our children, our seniors and veterans. I am particularly proud of Herb’s fight to end homelessness and the housing crisis. He created the City’s first ever Comprehensive Homelessness Strategy and spearheaded the initiative that will build two thousand units of affordable housing in South LA by the end of next year. Herb Wesson is the best choice for LA County Supervisor in District 2.”

Janice Hahn, LA County Supervisor
“As President of the City Council, Herb Wesson has been an outstanding partner and a champion in our fight to improve the quality of life for all of our city’s diverse communities. Herb understands how to bring people together to solve problems and deliver results like reducing homelessness, creating jobs, raising the minimum wage and expanding workforce training. As a father, grandfather, Assembly Speaker and Council President, Herb has always made education a top priority, working hard to keep kids safe, in school and away from gangs and drugs. I have no doubt that Herb will continue to fight for safer neighborhoods, good paying jobs, and affordable housing for all when he is elected to the Board of Supervisors. I am proud to endorse my friend Herb Wesson for Supervisor.”
Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles Mayor

“Herb Wesson will create a brighter future for all of our children. As City Council President, he created after-school and job training programs to keep disadvantaged youth off the streets and away from gangs, fought to secure funding for neighborhood parks and recreation areas, and established a program to help disadvantaged youth get apprenticeships in the construction industry. I am proud to stand with Herb in his campaign for Los Angeles County Supervisor.”

Steven Bradford, California State Senator

“Herb Wesson’s top priority is keeping our children safe. That’s why he expanded Project SAVE and other youth gang prevention and intervention programs to help young people make good choices, stay in school and on the right path. I am proud to endorse Herb Wesson for Los Angeles County Supervisor.”

Autumn Burke, California State Assemblymember
“Herb Wesson is the only candidate for LA County Supervisor with a track record of delivering results for all Angelenos. As a City Councilmember, he improved 911 response times, successfully passed an ordinance to raise LA’s minimum wage to $20 by 2020, and led the fight to require civilian oversight of Los Angeles police officers to increase transparency and accountability within the force. I am proud to endorse him for LA County Supervisor.”
Mike Gipson, California State Assemblymember
“I am proud to endorse Herb Wesson for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. As a former Assembly Speaker and current President of the Los Angeles City Council, Herb has demonstrated an unyielding commitment to standing up for working families and advancing smart policies that address income inequality in order to lift up all communities. I know he will continue this important work on the Board of Supervisors.”
Reggie Jones-Sawyer, California State Assemblymember
